Topic Detail

Spring Team, Inc., was founded in 1969 and is a manufacturer of precision springs and wire forms made to customer specifications. Spring Team understands that even though they manufacture springs, in reality, they are in the service industry. They will share with you some of their methods and measurements of the 100% On-Time Delivery that they have achieved for the last 13 months, the customer service they provide and their commitment to a program of continuous improvement.

Bios

Russ Bryer, General Manager (minority owner) has been in the spring industry for 19 years. Prior to joining Spring Team, he was the General Manager at Metals Sales Manufacturing, in Jefferson and the started his career in the savings and loan industry.

Ed Hall, Production Manager (minority owner) has worked in the spring industry for over 28 years. He started as a coiler with Schultz Mechanical Wire in 1977. He has worked in many areas of the facility, from machine set-up to managing production.

Greg Hamper, Information Systems Manager has been with Spring Team for over 22 years. In August 1986, Greg started in a utility capacity. After working in most departments, expediting customer orders, and installing our current ERP system, he maintains and improves our computers and information systems. In addition to Greg’s other responsibilities, he also manages our shipping and raw material departments.

Denny Bates, Quality Systems Manager, is the newest member to Spring Team. He joined the staff in 2003, when Spring Team acquired the assets of Sanborn Wire. Denny, has over 36 years in the spring industry and has worked in quality since 1979. He has directed the implementation of QS 9000 and currently oversees the implementation of ISO 9001:2008.
