Description:
The pretechnical will start at 5:00 lead by Jim Odom and deals with the "Basics of ANOVA". There will be a short break with a light meal and refreshments at a small charge of $8.

At 6:00 PM our main speaker, Marc Kelemen will give us an update on the initiatives at ASQ headquarters. What is new at ASQ -- 2009/10 initiatives -- Globalization, The Marshall Plan for improving Health Care while reducing costs, institute -- Social Responsibility "SR" ISO 26000.

Marc Kelemen is a Director for the American Society of Quality (ASQ) 2006-2010, Founder of ASQ’s MEMS-NanoTechnology Network, Vice-Chair of the Section Affairs Council, Member Leader Champion for Social Responsibility (ISO 26000), a Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence as well as a Certified Quality Auditor. He is a Senior Member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Kepner-Tregoe certified process expert. Marc is a named inventor on five US patents and has facilitated training and interactive workshops for many years leveraging experience on three continents. As President of NanoSynopsis, LLC, he is recognized as an expert in sustainable process development and energy management as well as commercialization of disruptive technologies, nanoscale quality assurance, surface analyses, plating and forensics.

Marc graduated from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and earned an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. He did graduate work at CWRU, Purdue University and North Carolina State University in Electrochemical Engineering, Polymer Physics, Surface Engineering and Atomic Force Microscopy. Marc has over 29 years experience leading teams to bring consumer electronics from ideation to commercialization in North America, Asia and Europe. He is also the Director of Education for the Ohio MEMS Association, Past President of the Cleveland Technical Societies Council and a co-provider of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) at Cleveland State.
