Cost of Quality

The American Society of Quality states that the Cost of Quality for a typical American manufacturing company is between 15% and 40% of sales! What we’re really talking about here is the cost of poor quality – time and material spent due to making anything less than "perfect" products. Obvious examples are rework, retesting, sorting, and many types of inspection. There are many more, and some are not so obvious. How significant are these costs for your company?
