Congratulations are in order for Wodin, Incorporated, located in Bedford Heights, Ohio. In February 2008, they received their certification and registration to AS9100 from QMI. During a flag presentation ceremony on February 21, 2008, John Novak (KAVON International President) and Francis Lamm (KAVON Senior Consultant) presented an AS9100 flag to R. Grant Murphy (President and CEO) and Jeffrey Zielinski (Quality Manager).
KAVON International, Inc. consultants assisted Wodin personnel in required process identification, formal preparation of AS9100 documentation, and employee training.
Wodin, Incorporated is a producer of upset forged bar and tube in alloy, stainless, and nickel steels since 1967 for a number of diverse industries. Originally a manufacturer of industrial valve stems, they have expanded their forging capabilities to include a wide array of quality near net forgings in solid and hollow bar, tube, in carbon, alloy, stainless, nickel, inconel, brass, and bronze materials. They also supply blank forgings, machined forgings, and specialty forged bolts, and currently forges tubes, gear blanks, torsion bars, valve stems, aircraft forgings, rod ends, specialty bolts, fasteners, and pins.
They also provide a wide range of near net forgings as diverse as gears, axles, torsion bars and drive train components, shafts, fasteners, rod ends, swing bolts, double end studs, pins, rings, rods and drill-rods. Their focus is on medium to heavy industrial applications in markets related to the military, mining, food processing, oil equipment, construction, marine, aircraft, and fastener industries.
With certification and registration to AS9100:2004, Wodin will continue to refine and develop policies and procedures towards meeting and exceeding customer requirements and expectation.
